Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2, 2026
Your privacy is critically important to us. TinnitusBuddy is a product offering of Intuico Digital, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We have a few fundamental principles: we don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it, and we treat your data with the highest level of security. This privacy policy applies to our mobile application, TinnitusBuddy (the "App"), and our website, tinnitusbuddy.com (the "Site").
1. Information Collection & Storage
User Journal Data (Local Storage)
The core functionality of the TinnitusBuddy App involves logging your tinnitus levels, triggers, and activities ("Journal Data").We do not transmit, analyze, or store this Journal Data on our servers.
- Your Journal Data is stored locally on your device.
- If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your data may be securely backed up to your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to these backups.
Crash & Diagnostic Data
To improve the stability and performance of our App, we may collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data (e.g., device type, OS version) through third-party services like Apple's crash reporting tools. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
2. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat (Subscriptions)
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and entitlements. When you purchase a subscription:
- RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID to validate your subscription status (`Pro` vs `Free`).
- We do not share your personal Journal Data with RevenueCat.
- All payment processing is handled directly by Apple (App Store). We do not collect or store your credit card information.
Google AdMob & AdSense (Advertising)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the App and Google AdSense on the Website. These services may use cookies, advertising IDs (like Apple's IDFA), and other tracking technologies to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
You can manage your advertising preferences in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking on iOS) or via Google's Ad Settings.
3. Website Visitors
Our website (tinnitusbuddy.com) is utilized primarily for our blog and informational content. We do not offer user accounts, login functionality, or comment sections on the website. We do not collect personal usage data from website visitors other than standard web server logs and Google AdSense data described above.
4. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
